We got a flier in our mail today: Quilters: a magical musical about a pioneer woman and her daughters sharing stories and songs through their exquisite handmade quilts, each quilt block commemorating an event in their lives.
No offense to quilters out there, but really, I can’t imagine anyone showing up to see this–except maybe some loser tourists from New York City. Then again, there’s an entire musical about kittens that’s done pretty well.

Actually Goshen College did this musical this Spring and it was very good. Themes of weddings, poverty, violent weather, death etc. were all part of it. I bet you would like it.

I was in the musical when I was in high school (so was Christa Keim). It’s a very moving story.

Well, I stand corrected. I thought this was a Thomas Kincaide-just-written-for-Amish-tourists deal.
