April 2008

A couple days ago we took a walk over to campus and discovered a very busy day in sports over there.

First, we walked into a men’s lacrosse match between Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Then we walked to the stadium to see a women’s lacrosse match against Georgetown.

Then we headed south to watch some baseball against St. John’s.

Then a bit further south to the softball stadium, where ND lost to Connecticut.

Andrew and Jonathan liked softball the best. They could actually track the larger, bright yellow ball.

Last weekend we enjoyed a really fun visit from Rachel Yoder. Rachel endured a very long train ride from western Maryland to spend some time with us, meet Benjamin, and endure the chaos that is our home.

It was really nice to catch up and watch the boys get to know her. We took some walks, tried some fun projects, and had a little time to talk amidst all the chaos.

For lots of excellent pictures of her time here, check out her brand-spanking new blog: http://sherwinrachel.wordpress.com/

Today we went to a regatta. Most of the boats sank.

Monique and Steve for enchiladas, Julie and Joel for lasagna, Mary and Jim for sloppy joes, Lynda for noodle casserole, and Rosa for all the food and babysitting!
