I was tightening a screw a couple days ago when the screwdriver slipped off the screw head. The screwdriver went all the way through the fingernail of my little pinkie and blood started spurting out. The end.

We have ultrasound photos of our little blob. But we left them at the Mihuts last night during our small group meeting. We’ll post them when we retrieve them.
Campus is coming alive in preparation for the first ND home game against Georgia Tech. Lots of visitors on campus. The Goodyear blimp flying over our house. A crane across the street lifting up a temporary cell phone tower.
Here are some photos of the boys, who have been getting neglected on the blog because of the big news. Get used to it boys–even more competition is coming!
In the meantime, they play. Here’s Jonathan reading a book in what can’t be a very comfortable position.
Here’s Andrew playing with his tractor.
And in a very typical scene, here’s both of them jumping up and down.

Whew! We really like twins, but we’re glad we don’t have to do it again.

Just got this email from Lisa, who had her first prenatal appointment and is now at school for her first class of the semester:
“I just got to my office. Here’s what happened:
Other nausea medicines will make me even more sleepy than FTAN (I can call if I
want to try, but she didn’t think it was worth it)
She’s confident that I’ll be feeling much better in 3-4 weeks (we’ll see)
The official due date is March 31. She’s worried about being out of town with
her kids on spring break, but would like to schedule an induction if it looks
like I”m ready to go.
I shouldn’t eat anything I don’t want to.
There’s officially only ONE baby. She did an ultrasound to be sure.
I got all the lab work done too, so that’s all taken care of.
My next appointment is 9/24–is that going to work?
I love you,
–Lisa

Some highlights of the past week:
- the joy of telling people about the new kid
- brunch and visits to the farmers market and consignment shops with Marty and Hannah
- a visit to the stadium to watch a student-only football practice (while I was there I got an insider scoop about who’s going to start at quarterback from a friend who watches practice with binoculars from the 13th floor of the library).
- watching Lisa barely not puke every hour of every day and say “If I had remembered how miserable this was . . .” Then with a gleam in her eye she says, “Snip, snip.”
- watching too many episodes of Lost on DVD to pass the nauseating evening hours.
